Just the Five of Us

Us
Kurt and I have been married just over 12 years.  If you count the years we spent dating (on and off), you will come up with over 20 years.  Wow, that’s even a shocker to me!  We have shared more birthdays together than apart.  We don't have a secret recipe to our marriage but what has made our relationship work is that we love God even more than each other. We don't give up easily and we're on the same page as far as what is truly important in life. We’re a lot alike but different enough to make life interesting and work in a certain ebb and flow.  We make up for each other’s strengths and weaknesses.  We’re a great team.

Hunter
Hunter is our first born and our most serious and introspective child.  He is quiet, compassionate, hard working, stubborn, and sensitive all wrapped up in a handsome package (if I do say so myself).  Hunter is a determined young man and you can usually find him playing with transformers, riding his bike, reading books on space and astronomy, playing the guitar, and loving on his little brother and dog.

Isabella
Bella, as we affectionately call her, is a “mini me.”  Not only does she have her mom’s dark features but a creative and sentimental side.  She likes to express herself in dance, art, and writing.  She is very intuitive, spontaneous, and bright.  She is Daddy's Little Girl and likes to read, read, read.  She is independent and has kind heart to everyone BUT her little brother.

Ethan
Ethan came to us during a challenging time in our life when we were navigating through the aftermath of going through Hurricane Katrina.  Overcoming challenges is something our chubby cheeked, loving, and curious little guy does best.  Being diagnosed with Autism at the early age of   2 ½ was a true blessing in that it allowed us to get him the early intervention that unlocked the key to his special mind and heart.  He is now our most outgoing, talkative, playful kid and we look forward to what God has in store for him.  The third time was definitely a charm with our sweet Ethan.
